PHARMACOLOGICAL ACTION
- Diuretic: useful in urinary system disorders.
- Spasmogenic: relieves abdominal colics.
- Antiviral: useful in fever and infections.
- It is a good blood purifier and thus useful in curing certain skin disorders.
- It is a good anti septic.
THERAPEUTIC USES
- Decoction of roots is given to relieve urinary tract disorders.
- Vaginal prolapsed: thick paste of root is applied over vagina with tight bandage for few hours.
- Symptomatic relief to piles, fistula etc
