Information We Collect
Book Now and Contact Form
When you send us a message through the Book Now form, we collect:
- Your name
- Your email address
- The message you type
We use these details only to reply to you, arrange your appointment and prepare for your consultation. If you write your phone number or a health concern in the message box, we receive that too. Please keep health details brief and share the rest with your doctor in person.
Comments
If you leave a comment on a blog post, we collect the name, email address and message you enter, along with your IP address and browser details. The IP address and browser details help us catch spam, and comments may be run through an automated spam filter before they appear.
If you use Gravatar, an anonymised code made from your email address may be sent to that service to check for a profile picture. Their privacy policy is at https://automattic.com/privacy/. After your comment is approved, your profile picture shows next to it.
Website Usage Data
We use Google Analytics to see how visitors use the site: which pages they open, how long they stay, which device and browser they use, and roughly where they are visiting from. We also use Google Search Console to see which searches lead people to our pages. This information is combined and is not used to identify you.
Cookies
Cookies are small files saved in your browser. Our site uses:
- Analytics cookies from Google Analytics, to count visits and see how pages are used
- A comment cookie, if you tick the box to save your name, email and website on the comment form. It lasts one year, so you don’t have to retype them next time
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work, and you can still send us a message.
Embedded Content
Some pages and blog posts carry embedded content such as YouTube videos. Opening that content is the same as visiting the other website. They may set their own cookies, collect data about you and track how you interact with the embedded item, especially if you are signed in to their service.
Images
If you upload an image to the site, please remove location data (EXIF GPS) from it first. Anyone who visits the site can download an image and read that data.
Who We Share Your Information With
We do not sell or rent your personal information. It is shared only in these cases:
- With Google, for the analytics and search data described above
- With the companies that host our website and handle our email, who may handle the data in order to do their job for us
- With authorities, when the law requires it
Anything you tell us about your health is seen only by the team that handles your appointment and treatment. We do not use it for advertising.
How Long We Keep Your Data
Messages and appointment details are kept for as long as we need them to look after your care and meet legal requirements. After that, they are deleted.
Comments and their details are kept until you ask us to remove them, so that later comments from you can be recognised and approved without delay.
Your Rights
You can ask us to:
- Send you a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correct anything that is wrong
- Delete your data, except where we must keep it for legal, administrative or security reasons
- Stop using your data, if you earlier agreed to its use and have changed your mind
These rights follow the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. We will reply to your request within a reasonable time.
Children
If a child under 18 needs an appointment, a parent or legal guardian should send the message.
Security
We take reasonable steps to keep your information safe, such as limiting who can see it. No website can promise complete security, so please share only what is needed.
Changes to This Policy
If we change this policy, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date.
