DISTRIBUTION
This species is native to Indonesia and Malaysia, globally distributed in the Pantropics. Within India, it is cultivated in many parts of India.

Hypotensive action of Agasthya will help to lower hypertension and also acts ascardiac depressant in hypertensive patients.
